Inspired by Talla's music collection, while in the early 80s quite a few younger artists from Frankfurt began to experiment on cassette tapes with Digital music coming from the town Music history retailer, mixing the most up-to-date catalogue with added Digital sounds and pitched BPM. This grew to become generally known as the Frankfurt tape scene.
